Instructions for Authors
European Journal of Medical Technologies is a quarterly medical journal published in English language.
European Journal of Medical Technologies will accept submissions relating to any aspect of gynaecology, obstetrics, medical technologies, publishes original contributions, comparative works, case studies, and many other categories of articles.
Articles should be written in English, short description and keywords in Polish, following the order presented in point 4 below. Recommended length: 2500-3000 words (16000-18000 characters including spaces). Abstract: the abstract should be written in Polish and English. Recommended length: 200 words (1500-2000 characters including spaces).
Price of publication 200 PLN.
Text style and format:
- 12- point font size (Times New Roman). Please do not format the text!
- 1,5 space
- leave right margins unjustified (ragged)
- margins: the margins should be 2,5 cm. If you wish to use indentation at the beginning of a line to signal the start of a new paragraph, please use the TAB key.
The file with the manuscript - Word version (*.doc or *.docx) - should include the following:

- first name and surname of the authors and their affiliations
- correspondence details: name and surname of the author, department, address, phone number, fax number, e-mail address

- abstract in Polish and English and observe the following order: Objectives, Material and methods, Results, Conclusions; recommended length 250 words
- key words - three to six key words, both in Polish and in English following the „Medical Subject Headings” (MeSH)

- manuscript: when preparing the manuscript for submission to European Journal of Medical Technologies the following order should be applied: Introduction; Objectives – state the aim of the work; Material and methods; Discussion; Conclusions – should refer to the objectives of the work and be presented clearly and accurately
- tables – tables may be included in the same file as the manuscript; number all tables in the order of their citation in the text, using Roman numerals. Include a title in Polish for each table (a brief phrase, preferably no longer than 10 words)
- figures and photos – figures and photos may be black-and-white or colour; the following figure file formats are acceptable: JPG, CDR, TIFF, PPT, AI, EPS. Include all figures and photos in a single file following the manuscript in one of the abovementioned formats (photos should have 300 dpi resolution and extension: *.jpg, *.tif, *.ai, *.eps)
- references – references should be numbered consecutively in the order in which they are first mentioned in the text. References to papers not yet published should not be included. Each reference entry should consist of: surname(s), first name(s) initial(s) (not to be followed by a full stop); first three surnames of the authors, followed by [et al.]; title; journal abbreviated title (please follow the Index Medicus tips); year of publication; volume; first and last page. In case of book or monograph chapters, please follow the order: surname and first name initial of the author; chapter title; book title; surname and first name initial of the editor; name of the publishing house; place of publication; year; pages

Authors are responsible for the realization of the relationship (conflict of interest). In particular, authors should identify funding opportunities and other types of material and organizational support received from companies, institutions, organizations or individuals interested in publishing work. A relationship must be disclosed to the Editor in the form of a signed, personal statement briefly describing her character.
The lack of correlation should be submitted in the form of a signed statement that reads: "Do not report dependencies (conflict of interest) that could affect the objectivity and credibility of the work "................................................. .......................... ". In original, in which are presented the study on humans or animals, it is reasonable to put information about obtaining the approval of research ethics committee (ethics committee).
Application materials for publication is considered as informed consent for publication in print and electronic form, including on the Internet.

Materiały do publikacji (tekst, tabele, ryciny, wykresy i dane liczbowe do ich wytworzenia) należy dostarczyć w formie 2 egz. jednostronnego wydruku komputerowego z załączonymi na płycie CD plikami w formacie MS Word for Windows. Wszystkie strony muszą być ponumerowane.
Artykuły powinny być napisane w języku angielskim a streszczenie i słowa kluczowe po polsku, zgodnie z kolejnością przedstawioną poniżej. Zalecana długość: 2500-3000 słów (16000–18000 znaków ze spacjami). Dodatkowo, streszczenie nie powinno przekraczać 2500 znaków.
Koszt publikacji 200zł.
Styl tekstu i format
- rozmiar czcionki — 12 punktów (Times New Roman)

- marginesy — marginesy powinny wynosić 2,5 cm (celem powstania akapitu, należy użyć klawisza Tab)

- tekst — obowiązujący układ tekstu prac oryginalnych — wprowadzenie, cel, materiał i metoda, wyniki, dyskusja, wnioski
- tabele powinny być utworzone w oddzielnych plikach programu Word (przy tworzeniu tabeli proszę używać funkcji „Tabela”), oznaczone cyframi rzymskimi, powinny zawierać tytuł w języku polskim (krótka fraza, najlepiej nie więcej niż 10 słów) oraz objaśnienia zastosowanych skrótów; w tekście artykułu należy umieścić odwołanie do każdej tabeli
- rysunki, zdjęcia i wykresy (ryciny) powinny być przygotowane w oddzielnych plikach graficznych (JPG, TIFF, EPS), ponumerowane cyframi arabskimi, opisy rycin w języku polskim (krótka fraza, najlepiej nie więcej niż 10 słów) prosimy przesłać w oddzielnym pliku programu Word z objaśnieniami stosowanych na rycinach skrótów; w tekście artykułu należy umieścić odwołanie do każdej ryciny
- piśmiennictwo powinno być bieżące, cytowane prace powinny być ponumerowane w kolejności pojawiania się w rękopisie, odwołania do listy należy ująć w nawiasy kwadratowe []. Lista piśmiennictwa zgodna z „Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals” (JAMA 1997;277:927-934, NEJM 1997;336(4):309-315), musi być ponumerowana w kolejności cytowania, np.:

- nie był dotychczas publikowany,
- nie został zgłoszony do druku w innym czasopiśmie,
- nie narusza praw autorskich ani innych praw własności stron trzecich,
- wszyscy wymienieni jako autorzy pracy przeczytali ją i zaakceptowali jej skierowanie do druku,
- wkład poszczególnych współautorów w powstanie artykułu naukowego (zapora ghostwriting)
- źródła finansowania badań przedstawionych w artykule naukowym lub powstania artykułu naukowego.
W przypadku zaakceptowania nadesłanych materiałów do opublikowania, niżej podpisany autor (autorzy) przekazuje prawa autorskie na rzecz Wydawcy czasopisma European Journal of Medical Technologies.
Autorzy są odpowiedzialni za uświadomienie sobie zależności (konfliktów interesów). W szczególności autorzy powinni wskazać źródła finansowania pracy oraz inne rodzaje materialnego lub organizacyjnego wsparcia uzyskanego od firm, instytucji, organizacji lub osób fizycznych zainteresowanych opublikowaniem pracy. Istnienie zależności należy ujawnić Redakcji w formie podpisanego, imiennego oświadczenia opisującego krótko jej charakter.
Brak zależności należy złożyć w formie podpisanego oświadczenia o treści: „Nie zgłaszam zależności (konfliktu interesów), które mogły wpłynąć na obiektywność i wiarygodność pracy pt. „...........................................................................”. W pracach oryginalnych, w których prezentowane są badania na ludziach lub zwierzętach, zasadne jest umieszczenie informacji o uzyskaniu zgody komisji etyki badań naukowych (komisji bioetycznej).
Zgłoszenie materiałów do publikacji jest traktowane jako świadoma zgoda na ich publikację drukiem i w formie elektronicznej, w tym w Internecie.
